Who we are

KineTech Health (“KineTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Kinetech Health Technologies Inc., based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. KineTech connects Alberta patients with diagnostic referrals to independent diagnostic clinics with the earliest available appointment slots, and helps those clinics manage incoming bookings.

We are not a healthcare provider and do not perform diagnostic tests ourselves. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

From clinics applying to partner with us, we collect: clinic name, business address, services offered, contact person name, email address, phone number, current scheduling software (if any), and any additional notes you choose to provide.

From patients, once our booking platform is live, we will collect information necessary to match you with an available appointment, including your name, date of birth, contact information, Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan number, and a copy of your referral sheet. We will update this policy before that feature launches with full detail on how that information is handled.

We do not currently collect payment information, as patient bookings made through referrals are free to patients.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Evaluate and respond to clinic partnership applications
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the KineTech platform
  • Communicate with you about your application or booking
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate KineTech. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for any other purpose:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting for application and booking data
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure

Data retention

We retain clinic application data for as long as needed to evaluate your application and maintain our partnership records, or until you ask us to delete it. Once our patient booking platform is live, patient referral and booking information will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the booking and applicable record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and where applicable the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent for its use, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. Where health information is involved, handling is also guided by the principles of Alberta's Health Information Act (HIA).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, access-controlled databases, and restricted internal access — to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable means.

Cookies

Our public website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our administrative dashboard uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep authorized staff signed in; it is not used for tracking and is not accessible to the public.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as KineTech's services evolve, particularly as our patient booking platform launches. We will post any changes here and update the “Last updated” date above.
